Victory for the Firm on behalf of Italian wheat producers
The Lazio Regional Administrative Court rejected on the merits the appeal brought by a number of millers and pasta producers against the 2017 Mipaaf and Mise decree requiring the specification of the origin of wheat used for production. Several domestic wheat producers and pasta makers joined the Attorney General in defending a measure they deemed “of relevant interest for the protection of consumer information on the origin of foods and their ingredients”.
This latter group of companies was defended by Giuseppe Pizzonia of Tremonti Romagnoli Piccardi e Associati, Alberto Santa Maria and Edoardo Gambaro of Greenberg Traurig Santa Maria, and Antonio Papi Rossi of Amministrativisti Associati.
