Firm advises on COIMA SGR-BNP PARIBAS agreement
COIMA SGR, an independent company engaged in management of real estate investment funds on behalf of Italian and international institutional investors, has finalised an agreement with BNP Paribas to locate the bank’s new Milan office in the Diamond Tower in Porta Nuova, and to purchase the building that housed BNL’s headquarters in Piazza San Fedele, Milan.
With regard to the purchase agreement, Shearman & Sterling acted as legal advisor to COIMA; acting as tax advisor to COIMA was Tremonti Vitali Romagnoli Piccardi’s team led by partner Fabrizio Colombo and including Eleonora Cipolletta and Stefania Trezzini. The purchase of the building at Piazza San Fedele was finalised through the COIMA QIA fund, which is promoted and managed by COIMA on behalf of the Qatar Investment Authority. The approximately 10,000 sq. m. building will be strategically repositioned.
